ICS G402 - Incident Command System (ICS) Overview for Executives/Senior Officials training.
This training has generated a significant amount of interest. This 2-hour course has become one of the most requested (nonrequired) courses developed in some time. EMI typically limits distribution of G courses to the FEMA Regional Training Managers and State Emergency Management Training Officers (STOs) and refers requests for the course to the STOs. The demand for this 2-hour course is such that we decided to place it on the EMI website as a downloadable file. This ensures the widest distribution without placing an undue burden on the STOs
NIMS 700 - Introduction to the National Incident Management System (NIMS) (2 ceus)
This course provides an overview of the National Incident Management System (NIMS). The National Incident Management System defines the comprehensive approach guiding the whole community - all levels of government, nongovernmental organizations (NGO), and the private sector - to work together seamlessly to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from the effects of incidents. The course provides learners with a basic understanding of NIMS concepts, principles, and components.
NIMS – 800 (2 ceus)
This course introduces participants to the concepts and principles of the National Response Framework. The goal of this course is to familiarize participants with the National Response Framework and the ways it is applied in actual response situations.
ICS: Rightsizing for Each Event (Fire Engineering)
Ever ask yourself when ICS become ineffective? Usually this occurs when the ICS is either scaled back to far and not working due to positions not being filled or positions are filled when they can easily remain under the Incident commander. ICS is designed to work for all types of incident but not positions should be filled or people “double serve” positions. This course addresses tools and tips on when you should or should not expand or downsize.
G191 - ICS for EOC (8 ceus)
This one-day course works best when delivered to Incident Command System and Emergency Operations Center personnel from the same community. The course provides an opportunity for participants to begin developing an ICS/EOC interface for their community. The course reviews ICS and EOC responsibilities and functions and depends heavily on exercises and group discussions to formulate the interface.
